Law of Property Act 1925: Celebrate 100 years and develop your network (Thurs 24th April 2025, London)
This landmark legislation created a framework to guide property lawyers, and some of the provisions of the Act are still in force today, whilst other areas of the law has continued to evolve. This event was sponsored and supported by Probate.Auction.
The Law Society’s Property Section hosted a celebration of the first 100 years of the Law of Property Act 1925. The Act was passed on 9 April 1925 and came into force the following year. It was part of a series of reforms which consolidated the enactments relating to conveyancing and the law of property in England and Wales and has shaped the property landscape of the UK over the last century.
